Installation

Unpack and inspect contents. Remove all packaging materials and tapes.

  1. Choose location: Place on a flat, stable surface away from heat sources and direct sunlight. Ensure adequate ventilation (min. 5cm clearance at back and sides).
  2. Level the appliance: Adjust the front feet using a spanner to ensure the freezer is stable.
  3. Set door direction: If needed, reverse the door hinge following the instructions in the separate hinge reversal guide.
  4. Clean interior: Wipe the inside with a damp cloth and dry thoroughly.
  5. Connect to power: Plug into a grounded 220-240V, 50Hz outlet. Do not use an extension cord.

WARNING! Wait at least 4 hours before switching on after transportation to allow refrigerant to settle.

First-Time Setup

After installation, follow these steps for initial use.

  1. Power on: Plug in and turn on the appliance. The interior light should illuminate.
  2. Set temperature: Turn the thermostat dial to the middle setting (recommended -18°C for freezing).
  3. Activate Fast Freeze: If loading a large amount of unfrozen food, press the Fast Freeze button 24 hours beforehand.
  4. Allow stabilization: Let the freezer run empty for 3-4 hours to reach the set temperature before loading food.
  5. Load food: Place items evenly, leaving space between packages for air circulation.

CAUTION! Do not place hot food directly into the freezer. Allow it to cool to room temperature first.

Specifications

Controls and Settings

The control panel is located inside the freezer compartment, typically on the upper right side.

Thermostat Dial: Rotate to set temperature. Settings range from MIN (warmer) to MAX (colder). The middle position is recommended for normal operation (-18°C).

Fast Freeze Button: Press to activate Fast Freeze function (LED indicator will light). This runs the compressor continuously to rapidly lower the temperature. Deactivate manually after 24-48 hours or it will turn off automatically.

Alarm Reset Button: If the door-open alarm sounds, close the door and press this button to silence the alarm.

Interior Light: Automatically turns on when the door is opened.

Using Your Freezer

Proper use ensures optimal performance and food preservation.

  1. Storing Food: Package food in airtight containers or freezer bags to prevent freezer burn. Label with date and contents.
  2. Loading: Do not overload. Allow space between items for cold air circulation.
  3. Fast Freeze: Use for large quantities of fresh food. Activate 24 hours before adding food.
  4. Ice Making: Fill ice trays with water and place on a shelf. Do not use sharp objects to remove ice.
  5. Door Open Alarm: An audible beep will sound if the door is left open for more than 2 minutes. Close the door firmly.

Tip: Organize food with newer items at the back and older items at the front for better rotation.

Maintenance & Cleaning

Unplug the appliance before any cleaning or maintenance.

  1. Exterior: Clean the cabinet and door with a soft cloth dampened with lukewarm water and mild detergent. Dry thoroughly.
  2. Interior: Remove all food. Clean shelves and interior surfaces with a solution of bicarbonate of soda and water (1 tbsp per liter). Rinse and dry.
  3. Defrosting: This is a frost-free model. Under normal use, no manual defrosting is required. If frost builds up (e.g., due to frequent door opening), unplug, remove food, and let frost melt. Wipe out water.
  4. Condenser Coils: Vacuum the rear grille (at the back) once or twice a year to remove dust for efficient operation.
  5. Door Seals: Wipe clean with water only. Check seals periodically for damage.

CAUTION! Never use abrasive cleaners, scouring pads, or chemical solvents. Do not pour water directly over the appliance.
