Installation

Unpack and inspect contents. Remove all packaging materials and protective tapes.

  1. Choose location: Place on flat, stable floor away from heat sources and direct sunlight. Allow at least 5 cm clearance on sides and back for ventilation.
  2. Adjust feet: Use a spanner to turn the adjustable feet until the appliance is level.
  3. Set door opening direction: If needed, reverse the door using the supplied hinge kit and instructions.
  4. Plug into power outlet: Use a dedicated 220-240V, 50Hz grounded socket. Do not use an extension cord.

WARNING! The freezer is heavy; use two people for moving and installation. Ensure it is level to prevent vibration and noise.

First-Time Setup

After installation, wait 2 hours before switching on to allow refrigerant to settle.

  1. Initial power on: Plug in the appliance. The power indicator light will illuminate.
  2. Set temperature: Turn the temperature dial to the middle setting (usually position 3 or 4).
  3. Pre-cooling: Let the freezer run empty for 3-4 hours to reach optimal temperature before adding food.
  4. Load food: Place food items in drawers and basket, ensuring proper air circulation.

CAUTION! Do not touch frozen surfaces with wet hands. Keep children away during installation.

Specifications

Controls and Settings

The main control is the temperature dial located inside the freezer compartment.

Temperature Dial: Rotate clockwise to make colder (higher numbers), anticlockwise for warmer (lower numbers). Mid-setting is recommended for normal use.

Fast Freeze Button/Switch: If present, activates Fast Freeze function for rapid freezing of new food. Run for 24 hours, then return to normal setting.

Door Alarm: Sounds if door is open for more than approximately 2 minutes. Closes door to stop alarm.

Power Light: Indicates the appliance is receiving power.

Using the Freezer

For optimal performance and food preservation.

  1. Loading food: Allow hot food to cool to room temperature before freezing. Package food in airtight containers or freezer bags to prevent freezer burn.
  2. Organisation: Use drawers for smaller items and the basket for larger or irregularly shaped items. Do not overfill; allow air to circulate.
  3. Fast Freeze: Activate this function 2-3 hours before adding fresh food. Deactivate after 24 hours.
  4. Temperature setting: Adjust dial based on ambient temperature and load. Colder settings in summer or when fully loaded.
  5. Ice build-up: With No Frost, minimal ice should form. If excessive, check door seal.

Tip: Label and date frozen items. Follow recommended storage times for different foods.

Maintenance & Defrosting

This is a No Frost model; manual defrosting is not required under normal use.

  1. Automatic defrosting: The system periodically melts frost from the evaporator. Water drains away and evaporates automatically.
  2. Cleaning the interior: Unplug, remove all food, and clean with a solution of warm water and mild detergent. Dry thoroughly.
  3. Door seals: Wipe clean regularly to ensure a tight seal. Check for damage.
  4. Condenser: Keep the rear grille (if accessible) dust-free for efficient operation.

WARNING! Never use sharp objects to remove ice. Do not use chemical cleaners or abrasives.
