Controls and Settings

All controls are located on the front or side panel of the freezer.

Thermostat Control Knob: Rotate to set temperature (0=Off, 1=Warmest, 5=Coldest). For normal operation, set to "3" or "4".

Fast Freeze Switch: Press to activate. The indicator light will illuminate. This function runs the compressor continuously to quickly freeze new food. Deactivate after 24 hours.

Alarm Reset Button: If the door alarm sounds (due to lid being open too long), close the lid and press this button to silence it.

Key Lock: Use the provided key to lock the lid for safety or to prevent accidental opening.

Using Your Freezer

Proper use ensures optimal performance and food preservation.

  1. Loading Food: Allow hot food to cool to room temperature before freezing. Package food in airtight containers or freezer bags to prevent frost.
  2. Organization: Use baskets (if provided) to organize items. Place newer items at the bottom.
  3. Fast Freeze: Activate this function 2-3 hours before adding large quantities of unfrozen food.
  4. Defrosting: This is a manual defrost freezer. Defrost when ice build-up exceeds 5 mm thickness.
  5. Power Failure: In case of a power cut, keep the lid closed. A fully loaded freezer will keep food frozen for approximately 24 hours.

Tip: Label and date all frozen items for easy identification.

Maintenance & Cleaning

Regular maintenance ensures efficiency and longevity.

  1. Defrosting: Unplug the freezer. Remove all food. Place towels to absorb water. Let ice melt naturally. Do not use sharp objects to remove ice.
  2. Cleaning Interior: Use a soft cloth with a solution of warm water and mild detergent. Rinse with a damp cloth and dry thoroughly.
  3. Cleaning Exterior: Wipe with a damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners.
  4. Condenser Coils: Vacuum the rear grille (if accessible) once a year to remove dust.

CAUTION! Always unplug the appliance before cleaning. Never use steam cleaners, solvents, or scouring pads.
