Specifications

Controls and Settings

Primary control is the thermostat dial located inside the appliance.

Thermostat Dial: Rotate to set temperature. Settings typically range from 1 (warmest) to 5 or 6 (coldest). A medium setting (3 or 4) is recommended for normal operation.

Fast Freeze Switch: When activated, the compressor runs continuously to freeze fresh food quickly. Remember to turn it off after 24-48 hours to save energy.

Interior Light: Turns on automatically when the door is opened. If the light fails, check the bulb and door switch.

Loading and Organizing

Proper loading ensures efficient operation and food preservation.

  1. Use containers: Store food in airtight containers or freezer bags to prevent frost and odor transfer.
  2. Label and date: Mark all packages with contents and date of freezing.
  3. Do not overload: Allow cold air to circulate by not blocking the air vents inside.
  4. Fast Freeze: Use the Fast Freeze function when adding a large quantity of unfrozen food.
  5. Organization: Use door shelves for frequently used items like ice packs. Use main compartments for bulk storage.

Tip: Pre-freeze berries and other small items on a tray before bagging to prevent clumping.

Defrosting

This model requires manual defrosting when frost buildup exceeds 5-7 mm.

  1. Prepare: Remove all food, wrap it in newspapers, and place in a cool box.
  2. Turn off: Turn the thermostat dial to "0" or "OFF" and unplug the appliance.
  3. Speed up defrost: Place bowls of warm (not boiling) water inside and keep the door open.
  4. Remove water: Place towels in the bottom to absorb melting ice. Use a plastic scraper to gently remove ice—never use sharp tools.
  5. Clean and dry: Once defrosted, clean the interior as per cleaning instructions. Dry thoroughly.
  6. Restart: Plug in, set the thermostat, and wait for the correct temperature before reloading food.

WARNING! Never use electrical appliances, sharp objects, or hot water to speed up defrosting, as this can damage the liner.

Care & Cleaning

Unplug before cleaning. Clean regularly to maintain hygiene and efficiency.

  1. Exterior: Wipe with a soft, damp cloth and mild detergent. Dry thoroughly.
  2. Interior: Clean every 2-3 months or after defrosting. Use a solution of warm water and baking soda. Rinse and dry.
  3. Door seals: Wipe with warm soapy water to keep them clean and elastic. Check for damage.
  4. Condenser coil: Vacuum the rear grille (if accessible) once a year to remove dust.

CAUTION! Do not use abrasive cleaners, scouring pads, or solvents. Never pour water directly over or inside the appliance.
