Specifications

Controls and Settings

Thermostat Control: Dial with settings 1 (warmest) to 5 (coldest). Setting 3 or 4 is recommended for normal use. Fast Freeze Switch: Activates continuous cooling for rapid freezing; turn off after 24 hours. Power Indicator: Green LED lights when the freezer is powered on.

Temperature Guide: The ideal freezer temperature is -18°C (0°F). Use a thermometer to verify if unsure.

Loading and Organizing

Use baskets to separate different types of food (meats, vegetables, prepared meals).

  1. Pre-freeze fresh food: Cool hot food to room temperature before freezing.
  2. Package properly: Use airtight containers or freezer bags to prevent freezer burn.
  3. Label and date: Mark packages with contents and date of freezing.
  4. Do not overload: Leave space between items for cold air to circulate.
  5. Store frequently used items at the front for easy access.

Tip: A well-organized freezer is more energy efficient and makes food easier to find.

Defrosting

Defrost when frost buildup is about 1/4 inch (6 mm) thick.

  1. Turn thermostat to 0 (OFF) and unplug the freezer.
  2. Remove all food, place in coolers with ice packs to keep frozen.
  3. Place towels around the base to absorb water.
  4. Leave door open to allow frost to melt naturally. Do not use sharp objects or heaters to speed up defrosting.
  5. Wipe interior clean with a solution of warm water and baking soda.
  6. Dry thoroughly, plug in, set thermostat, and reload food once temperature is reached.

WARNING! Never use metal tools or electrical heaters to remove ice. This can damage the interior.

Energy Saving Tips

Keep door seals clean and ensure they seal tightly. Avoid opening the door frequently or for long periods. Ensure the freezer is not placed near a heat source. Defrost regularly to maintain efficiency. Do not set the thermostat colder than necessary.

Care & Cleaning

Unplug before cleaning. Exterior: Clean with a soft cloth dampened with mild detergent. Interior: Use a solution of warm water and baking soda. Door Seals: Wipe clean with water only to maintain elasticity.

CAUTION! Do not use abrasive cleaners, solvents, or scouring pads. Never pour water directly over the freezer.
