Energy Saving Tips

Maximize efficiency and reduce electricity costs.

  1. Set Correct Temperature: -18°C is sufficient for long-term storage.
  2. Use Energy Saver Mode: Activate in cooler room conditions.
  3. Minimize Door Openings: Plan removal of items to reduce cold air loss.
  4. Ensure Proper Seal: Regularly check door gasket is clean and intact.
  5. Defrost Regularly: Ice build-up over 5mm increases energy consumption.
  6. Position Away from Heat: Keep freezer away from ovens, radiators, and direct sunlight.

Maintenance & Defrosting

This is a frost-free model. However, manual defrosting may be required if ice accumulates.

  1. Unplug the freezer.
  2. Remove all food, placing it in a cool box with ice packs.
  3. Leave the door open to allow ice to melt. Place towels to absorb water.
  4. Do not use sharp objects to remove ice. Use a plastic scraper if necessary.
  5. Clean the interior with a solution of warm water and baking soda. Wipe dry.
  6. Plug in and allow to reach temperature before reloading food.

CAUTION! Never use electrical appliances inside the freezer to speed up defrosting. Unplug before cleaning.
