Installation

Unpack and inspect contents. Place on a level, stable floor.

  1. Choose location: Away from heat sources, direct sunlight, and with adequate ventilation.
  2. Level the freezer: Adjust front feet to ensure unit is level.
  3. Clearance: Ensure at least 5 cm clearance at back and sides for air circulation.
  4. Electrical connection: Plug into a grounded 220-240V, 50Hz outlet. Do not use extension cords.
  5. Door reversal (if needed): Follow instructions in manual to change door hinge side.

WARNING! Allow the freezer to stand upright for at least 4 hours before plugging in after transportation.

First-Time Setup

After installation, prepare the freezer for first use.

  1. Initial cleaning: Wipe interior with a solution of warm water and baking soda. Dry thoroughly.
  2. Power on: Plug in the freezer. The interior light should turn on when door is opened.
  3. Set temperature: Turn thermostat knob to setting 3 or 4 (recommended for normal use).
  4. Pre-cooling: Allow the empty freezer to run for 2-3 hours before adding food.
  5. Fast freeze: If adding a large amount of unfrozen food, activate Fast Freeze function 24 hours beforehand.

CAUTION! Do not place hot food inside. Allow food to cool to room temperature first.

Specifications

Controls and Settings

Primary controls are located inside the freezer compartment.

Thermostat Knob: Located on the upper right interior wall. Settings range from 1 (warmest) to 5 (coldest), with 0 being OFF. Setting 3 or 4 is recommended for normal operation (-18°C or below).

Fast Freeze Switch: Usually a button or separate control. When activated, the compressor runs continuously to rapidly lower temperature. Deactivate after 24 hours or once food is frozen.

Interior Light: Automatically turns on when door is opened. If bulb needs replacement, consult manual for type and procedure.

Temperature Management

Maintaining correct temperature is crucial for food safety and efficiency.

  1. Ideal temperature: -18°C or lower in the main compartment.
  2. Check temperature: Use an independent freezer thermometer for accuracy.
  3. Adjust thermostat: Turn knob to a higher number for colder temperature, lower number for warmer.
  4. Fast Freeze: Use when adding large quantities of unfrozen food. Remember to turn it off.
  5. Avoid frequent door openings: Plan removal of items to minimize cold air loss.

Tip: A full freezer is more energy efficient than an empty one. Use bottles of water to fill empty space.

Storage Organization

Organize food for easy access and optimal freezing.

  1. Shelves: Adjust height to accommodate different sized items. Heavier items on bottom.
  2. Door shelves: Best for smaller, frequently used items, or frozen goods in original packaging.
  3. Label and date: Use labels and dates on packages to track storage time.
  4. Air circulation: Do not overpack. Allow some space between items for cold air to circulate.
  5. Pre-freezing: Spread items like berries on a tray before bagging to prevent clumping.

WARNING! Do not store flammable, volatile, or explosive substances. Do not store carbonated drinks in glass bottles.

Defrosting

This model requires manual defrosting when frost buildup exceeds 5 mm.

  1. Prepare: Remove all food, place in coolers or insulated bags.
  2. Turn off: Set thermostat knob to "0" or unplug the freezer.
  3. Speed up defrost: Place bowls of hot water inside and keep door closed for 15 minutes.
  4. Remove ice: Use a plastic scraper (provided or plastic) to gently remove ice. Do not use sharp metal tools.
  5. Collect water: Place towels or a shallow pan at the bottom to collect melting water.
  6. Clean and dry: Wipe interior dry with a soft cloth.
  7. Restart: Plug in, set thermostat to desired setting, wait 2-3 hours, then reload food.

CAUTION! Never use electrical devices, hairdryers, or sharp objects to remove ice.

Care & Cleaning

Unplug before cleaning. Clean every 3-6 months or when soiled.

  1. Exterior: Wipe with a soft, damp cloth and mild detergent. Dry thoroughly.
  2. Interior: Use a solution of warm water and baking soda (2 tbsp per liter). Rinse with clean water and dry.
  3. Shelves and bins: Remove and wash with warm soapy water. Dry completely before reinstalling.
  4. Door seal: Clean with warm water and dry. Check for cracks or damage that could affect seal.
  5. Condenser coils (rear): Vacuum dust gently to maintain efficiency (unplug first).

CAUTION! Do not use abrasive cleaners, solvents, or scouring pads. Never pour water directly on the appliance.
