All controls are located inside the freezer compartment or on the front panel.

Thermostat Dial: Located inside. Settings 1 (warmest) to 5 (coldest). Setting 3 or 4 is recommended for normal use. Turn to 0 to switch off.

Fast Freeze Switch: When activated (pressed in), the compressor runs continuously to freeze fresh food quickly. Deactivate (pop out) after 24 hours or once food is frozen.

Door Open Alarm: An audible beep will sound if the door is left open for more than approximately 2 minutes. The alarm stops when the door is closed.

Interior Light: Turns on automatically when the door is opened.

Loading and Organizing

For optimal performance and food preservation.

  1. Pre-freeze hot food: Allow cooked food to cool to room temperature before freezing.
  2. Package properly: Use airtight containers, freezer bags, or wrap to prevent freezer burn.
  3. Label and date: Mark packages with contents and date of freezing.
  4. Do not overload: Ensure air can circulate around items. Do not block air vents.
  5. Use baskets: Adjust wire baskets for different sized items. Heavier items on bottom.
  6. Fast Freeze: Use the Fast Freeze function when adding a large quantity of unfrozen food.

Tip: Organize food by type and date for easy access and rotation (first in, first out).

Defrosting

This model requires manual defrosting. Defrost when the frost layer is 3-5 mm thick.

  1. Preparation: Remove all food, place in a cool box or another freezer.
  2. Switch Off: Turn the thermostat dial to "0" and unplug the appliance.
  3. Speed Up Defrost: Place bowls of warm (not boiling) water inside. Keep door open.
  4. Collect Water: Place towels and a shallow pan at the bottom to collect meltwater. Never use sharp objects to remove ice.
  5. Clean: Once ice melts, clean the interior with a solution of warm water and baking soda. Dry thoroughly.
  6. Restart: Plug in, set thermostat to desired setting, wait for temperature to drop, then reload food.

WARNING! Never use electrical heaters, steam cleaners, or sharp tools to defrost. This can damage the lining.
