Installation

Unpack and inspect contents. Place on a flat, stable floor.

  1. Choose Location: Install in a dry, well-ventilated area away from heat sources.
  2. Level the Appliance: Adjust the front feet using a wrench to ensure proper door closure.
  3. Clearance: Leave at least 5 cm clearance at the back and sides for ventilation.
  4. Electrical Connection: Plug into a grounded 220-240V, 50Hz outlet. Do not use an extension cord.
  5. Door Reversal (Optional): Follow door reversal instructions in the manual if needed.

WARNING! Do not install near ovens, radiators, or in direct sunlight. Ensure proper ventilation.

First-Time Setup

Before first use, clean the interior and let the freezer run empty for 2-3 hours.

  1. Initial Cleaning: Wipe interior with a solution of warm water and baking soda. Dry thoroughly.
  2. Power On: Plug in the appliance. The interior light should turn on when the door is opened.
  3. Set Temperature: Turn the thermostat knob to the middle setting (e.g., position 3 or 4).
  4. Fast Freeze: For initial cooling or when adding large amounts of food, activate Fast Freeze for 24 hours.
  5. Loading Food: Place food items evenly, leaving space between packages for air circulation.

CAUTION! Do not load food until the freezer has reached the desired temperature (approx. -18°C).

Thermostat Knob: Rotate to set temperature (1 = warmest, 5 = coldest). Middle setting (3 or 4) is recommended for normal operation.

Fast Freeze Switch: Press to activate. The Fast Freeze indicator light will illuminate. This function runs the compressor continuously to rapidly lower the temperature. Deactivate after 24 hours or when food is frozen.

Interior Light: Automatically turns on when the door is opened.

Door Open Alarm (if equipped): Sounds if the door is left open for more than a few minutes.

Using Your Freezer

Proper use ensures efficient operation and food preservation.

  1. Preparing Food: Cool hot food to room temperature before freezing. Package food in airtight, moisture-proof containers or freezer bags to prevent freezer burn.
  2. Loading: Do not overload. Leave space between items for air circulation. Place newer items at the back.
  3. Fast Freeze: Use this function when adding a large quantity of unfrozen food (more than 1 kg per 10 liters of capacity).
  4. Storage Times: Follow recommended storage times for different food types (meat, vegetables, etc.).
  5. Ice Tray: Fill the ice tray with water and place it on a shelf. Do not use sharp objects to remove ice.

Tip: Label packages with contents and date to keep track of storage time.

Defrosting & Cleaning

Manual defrost is required when frost layer exceeds 5 mm thickness.

  1. Defrosting:
    • Turn the thermostat knob to "0" (OFF) and unplug the appliance.
    • Remove all food, wrap it in newspapers, and place in a cool location.
    • Place towels and a shallow container inside to collect melting water.
    • Leave the door open to speed up defrosting. Do not use sharp tools or heaters to accelerate.
    • Once defrosted, wipe interior dry with a soft cloth.
  2. Cleaning:
    • Clean interior and exterior with a soft cloth dampened with a solution of warm water and mild detergent.
    • Clean door gaskets to ensure a proper seal.
    • Do not use abrasive cleaners, solvents, or scouring pads.

WARNING! Never use electrical appliances inside the freezer to speed up defrosting. Do not pour water over the freezer.

Care & Maintenance

Regular maintenance ensures long life and optimal performance.

Monthly: Check door seals for dirt or damage. Clean if necessary.

Every 6 Months: Clean the condenser coils at the back of the appliance with a brush or vacuum cleaner (ensure the appliance is unplugged).

As Needed: Defrost when frost exceeds 5 mm. Clean interior and exterior.

CAUTION! Always unplug the appliance before any maintenance. Do not use steam cleaners.
